Family Cows

Our farm is located on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, Canada. The focus of our lives is to develop, maintain, and raise heritage livestock suitable for small farms where low input and low impact is the foremost consideration. The primary purpose of our Grauvieh cattle and Cheviot sheep is the humane production of grass-fed beef and lamb. Heritage livestock has traditionally served more than one purpose. Therefore, our Grauvieh cattle are equally suited for dairying, our Cheviot sheep produce quality wool, and our Saltspring Pheasant Fowl is suitable for eating and for laying table eggs. The greatest reward for us is the joy of owning such beautiful animals, and to live in the landscape created by small-scale farming.
